Graduation Requirements
Valley Baptist Christian School students may earn one of two diplomas: a general diploma or a college preparatory diploma. The purpose for having an honors track is to encourage and motivate students to take challenging courses and to better prepare those students for college work. However, the honors program is not to be interpreted as being required college-bound students. In order to be recognized as the valedictorian or salutatorian, a student must be full-time, complete the college preparatory program, and have at least a 3.50 GPA. Furthermore, the student must have attended his entire eleventh and twelfth grade years at VBCS. No home schooled classes or correspondence courses will be counted towards the honors awarded. In the year that any course is offered, the course may not be taken via correspondence or in any other time slot than which the course is offered. The following scale shows the requirements for both programs.
